DDC Shopian reviews developmental schemes of RDD

SHOPIAN, AUGUST 22: District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin today convened a meeting to review implementation of various schemes of Rural Development Department (RDD) in the district.
Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Panchayat Officer, and all Block Development Officers of the district.
During the meeting progress of developmental works being executed under under MGNREGA, PMAY, 14 FC, SBM and convergence scheme was reviewed threadbare.
On the occasion, the DDC directed the officers to work with added zeal so that the set targets are achieved in time. He said schemes like MGNREGA are meant to create durable assets in the far flung areas and to provide livelihood to the economically weaker sections of the society. He further stressed on increasing man work-days under MGNREGA with proper verification of job cards besides seeding of job cards with AADHAR at the earliest. He also directed BDOs to increase the completion rate of works commenced under MGNREGA.
