Goa government to showcase Parrikar's journey in photo-book

Panaji, Aug 19: Goa's former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar's political journey will be published by the state government in a photo-book, as a tribute to him on the occasion of his birth anniversary on December 13 this year, CM Pramod Sawant said on Monday.
"We want to celebrate Parrikar's political journey through photographs. I have told the Director of Information and Publicity to collect the photos," Sawant said at a function organised by a photographers association in Panaji.
Sawant also urged the photographers in Goa to submit their photographs of the late Parrikar to the state government, the best of which would be included in the photo-book.
"We will be releasing two books on the occasion of his birthday," Sawant said.
Parrikar, a four-time Chief Minister and a former Defence Minister died on March 17 this year, following a protracted battle with cancer.
