DGP inaugrates websites of Kashmir Zone at PCR Srinagar

Srinagar: Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbagh Singh on Saturday inaugurated website of Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir Zone at Police Control Room Srinagar. The website hosts wide information on the history of police, a record of absconders, grievances, police official contact and much more. The website can be accessed at www.kashmirpolice.jk.gov.in

Director-General of Police Dilbagh Singh said that the website will prove a major breakthrough in a relationship between local masses and Jammu and Kashmir police. He informed that the website will have a history of J&K Police and it will update important notifications and daily activities of the police in which people are always interested.

He added “Website will also provide information of matter related to the police investigation, crime inquiry and most importantly about the important functioning on drug addiction menace. Also youth-related programs, upcoming events will be informed and also we have a police-community partnership the group which is an important part".

He further added that the website will also provide the detail information on traffic incidents and also it will provide contact numbers of police officials along with their email ids.

Inspector-General of Police, Kashmir S.P Pani provided an overview detail of the website. He added that the website has an important column of the list of absconders of different cases which should come in public domain and it will be updated daily. Also, the website has a gallery column which will show classification about the work done by the police.

He added that the website will feature column on missing persons which can be accessed around the world. And, importantly it will be an online grievance forum which will directly come to us and press releases will be also uploaded from different portals. Further, very important column Crime and Criminal Tracking Network &Systems CTNS is also part of the website and how it works.

He further added, “Website will update daily community-related programs, different youth engagement programs and the programs we conduct every year. Also, it will provide details about Dial 112, emergency response system, which is very important. And, detail information on drug de-addiction is provided on gender-wise distribution and victim education”.

I.G S.P Pani added that it will also provide information on different law criminal procedures, different acts and also how the FIR is registered in the police station. Also, the website will provide details about the prosecution proceeding in court, inquest proceeding, stolen property, road accident cases, and NDPS cases. While as the work on the column of crime statics, successful investigation and victims of crime is under progress and will take some time to provide information.
