DC Reasi visits Sujandhar, conducts public grievances redress camps

REASI, JULY 20: District Development Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib today conducted an extensive tour of Sujandhar area of block Bhomag and conducted public grievances redressal camps in various areas.
At Sujandhar, the DDC met various delegations and listened to their demands and issues.
At Mohali Talab, the DC convened a public grievances redressal camp wherein people from eight panchayats participated and presented their demands and issues.
The Sarpanchs and locals projected several issues including upgradation of High School Sujandhar upto Higher Secondary School, increase in number of specialised teachers and infrastructure at various government schools, Primary Health Centre and a mobile network tower in the area, realignment of power lines, payment of pending dues pertaining to road projects, establishment of banks at Sarhi, Lamsora, Harotekote, Sersundwan and Sujandhar.
The DC assured providing cricket kits to the school students of the area. She also assured taking up the upgradation of Govt High School Sujandhar.
The DC assured timely resolution of the pending issue of PMGSY road between Bakkal and Lamsora. She directed officials from Horticulture Department to guide people about setting up apple, walnut and other orchards in the area. The people were also enlightened about various subsidies provided by the department for setting horticulture nurseries.
DC asked the needy to register themselves with the Social Welfare department and seek senior citizen and widow pensions. She directed the officials from the department to organise awareness camps regarding the same.
The DC also took stock of working of Panchayati Raj Institutions and directed the members to conduct monthly meetings with people of their area.
She also directed BDO Bhomag to initiate water harvesting works under MG NREGA.
Later, she met people at Upper Samak and planted a sapling.
