DC Kishtwar reviews arrangements for Independence Day celebrations

KISHTWAR, JULY 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Angrez Singh Rana today reviewed the arrangements for smooth celebration of Independence Day- 2019 here at a meeting of officers.
ADDC, Mohammad Hanief Malik, ADC, Pawan Kumar Parihar, Additional SP, Nasir Ahmad, CO 26 RR Col. S. Hajra, ACR, Dr. Amir Hussain, representatives of CISF, besides district and sectoral officers were present in the meeting.
A threadbare discussion was held in meet regarding arrangements of security, seating plan, installation of PAS, barricading, power, drinking water, invitation of guests, refreshment to school children, transport, parking, cultural activities, ambulances, Fire tender services, electricity, march past and other necessary arrangements.
It was decided that the main function of Independence Day will be held at the Parade Ground where the Chief Guest shall unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the March Past.
As per the past practice the Independence Day celebrations shall start with the playing of Shenai Vadan.
After the flag hoisting and parade ceremony, cultural items on patriotic and national themes shall be presented by the students of various government and private schools.
