DDC Baramulla holds public outreach prog at Dangiwacha
BARAMULLA, JULY 18: With an aim to get the first-hand appraisal of public grievances, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today held a day-long public outreach camp at Dangiwacha.
Various delegations, representatives and other stakeholders from Dangiwacha and its adjoining areas called on the DDC to apprise him with the problems faced by them.
ADC Sopore Ashiq Hussain Lilly, CEO, SEs, District and Sectoral, Engineers were present on the occasion.
A delegation demanded to post Block Development Officer (BDO) for Kandi Block and Child Development Protection Officer (CDPO) for Dangiwacha. They also demanded a Sub-District Hospital (SDH) for Dangiwacha so that the healthcare system in the area gets improved. They also demanded completion of Pazalpora-Hamam Road and Lift Irrigation Scheme from Yarbug to Fidarpora.
Another delegation demanded road widening from Dangiwacha to Yarbug adding that the current narrow road creates a lot of inconvenience to commuters. They also demanded the construction of a bridge connecting Madanan to Pazalpora.
Another deputation demanded Government Transport facility from Dangiwacha to Sopore/Baramulla and vice-versa wherein the DDC directed the concerned to immediately initiate the transport facility on the routes. They also demanded cooperation from Horticulture and allied departments in providing expertise and suggestions so that a better yield of production is ensured.
The DDC directed the Chief Horticulture Officer to conduct field visits and provide every support to the farmers with regard to soil health, pest and disease control.
Besides, people also demanded macadamization of inner link roads, uninterrupted water and power supply, availability of essential commodities etc.
The DDC after giving a patient hearing assured the deputationists that all their genuine issues and grievance shall be resolved in a time-bound manner.
