DLSA celebrates International Justice Day at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, JULY 17: District Legal Services Authority observed World Day for International Justice here today.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Principal District & Session Judge Mohan Lal Manhas. Besides, Additional Session Judge Sobha Ram Gandhi, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohamed Rafiq Chak, Secretary DLSA Sub Judge, Sandeep Kour, President Udhampur Bar Association Jagdev Singh Slathia and a large number of Bar members were present on the occasion .
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman said that World Day for International Justice, also referred to as Day of International Criminal Justice or International Justice Day, is an international day celebrated throughout the world on July 17 as part of an effort to recognize the emerging system of international criminal justice. He added that the aim of observing International Justice Day is to unite everyone who wants to support justice as well as promote victims’ rights.
President Bar Jagdev Singh Slathia, Advocate Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Advocate Gulshan Singh Shan Advocate Sanjt Kumar and Ranjit Parihar also spoke on the occasion. They said that the day is to remark that justice is not a legal obligation or institutional responsibility rather a moral realization and necessity.
