Ahmed was found unconscious following which Parade Police rushed him to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu where doctors declared him as brought dead.

The deceased cop was posted in district Kishtwar and was presently under suspension.

This was the second such incident in as many days. On Monday, Selection Grade Constable Arjun Dev (belt no EXJ 976304) was found dead in a poll of blood at Police Training Centre, Sunjwan, in the outskirts of the city.

Arjun who was undergoing the lower class course at the Police training center Sujwan and was posted in intelligence wing, reportedly had committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle.

Meanwhile, a constable was placed under suspension for falsely informing the Superintendent of Police of whereabouts of his Station House Officer.

The SP caught the bluff and ordered Sanjeev’s suspension, even as the SHO was attached to District Police Line, Jammu.
