Navy rescues woman-daughter duo from drowning in Bandipora
Srinagar, Jun 19: A woman and her daughter were rescued after their boat capsized in Wular Lake by Navy personnel in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said.
Navy personnel in the nearby camp immediately launched a rescue operation after they saw two women struggling to swim to safety in the Lake at Zurimanz.
The woman identified as Rafiqa Begum and her daughter Laali were rescued. They told Navy personnel that they were going to Sopore via Wular Lake when the indent took place.
