‘Back to Village’ programme: DC Leh convenes meet

LEH, JUNE 18: Deputy Commissioner Leh Avny Lavasa today convened a meeting with all the district officers to apprise them about the State Government’s ‘Back to Village’ programme.
The meeting was also attended by the BDOs and other concerned officials.
Addressing the meeting, DC said that all the gazetted officers will be deployed in the 95 Panchayat halqas of the district as visiting officers who shall seek feedback based on their observation, interaction and other activities as per the provided general guidelines of their concerned Gram Panchayat.
She said the Programme provides an opportunity for all the district officers to ensure grassroots connect with the rural population.
DPO Leh Zakir Hussain gave a detailed presentation on ‘Back to Village’ programme highlighting its objectives and day wise activities the visiting officers have to conduct in their Gram Panchayats.
