Drug peddler arrested, brown sugar recovered in Baramulla

Baramulla, Jun 13: A notorious drug peddler was arrested after brown sugar and cash was recovered from his possession in this north Kashmir district on Thursday, a police spokesman said.

He said on a tip-off, a police party arrested a notorious drug peddler Ghulam Mohiuddin, resident of Ladoora in Dangiwacha, Sopore, in Baramulla today. Brown sugar and Cash Rs over 8200 were recovered from his possession, he said.

He said case FIR No 100/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation has been taken up.

He appealed to community members to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law, he warned.
