DDC Ramban holds public outreach programme at Famrote, Sangaldan

RAMBAN, JUNE 12: District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, conducted an extensive tour of far-flung Panchayats and blocks of the district besides conducting public outreach programme at Famrote Panchyat.
During the visit, the DDC inspected various development works besides taking stock of availability of essential commodities in these far off areas.
SDM Gool, Gayaz Ul Haq, ASP Ramban Sanjay Parihar CMO Ramban Dr Saif Ud Din Khan, ACD Ramban Zafar bandey, CEO Ramban Abdul Hamid Fani, Executive Engineer PHE, Bashir Ahmed BDO Sangaldan Rajinder Singh Rana, Sarpanchs, Panchs and people from eight Panchayats attended the camp.
DDC interacted with the public of Sangaldan, Thathrka, Chachwah, Seripura, Ind, Maha Kund and Dalwah at various places and heard their grievances. He passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for redressal of public issues projected during the programme. He directed to all officers to stay in their headquarters for convenience of rural population.
He directed the officers to remain in contact with the people and pay regular visits to remote and far-flung areas to build confidence among people for district administration.
He instructed the concerned agencies to complete ongoing project within prescribed time so that they are made functional at the earliest.
Earlier, DDC elaborated in detail about the motive of launching of “Back to Village” program which is aimed at strengthening the Panchayats. He informed that the State government would launch ambitious programme ‘Back to the Village’ between 20 and 27 June covering all Panchayats. The program will be accessed by the Gazetted Officers of the State, during week long programme to accelerate development process and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances and faster service delivery especially in rural areas.
He directed Block Development Officer Sangaldan to prepare DPR for construction of toilet and passenger shed at Sangaldan. CEO was directed to ensure detachment of teachers from offices.
DDC directed Assistant Commissioner Development to prepare DPR for construction of Community Centre at Famrote.
He directed horticultural development to start a fruit sale point for farmers. Directions were also given to PMGSY and PWD Development to complete road project as early as possible.
DDC sanctioned Rs. 5 lakh for electric poles and Rs. 2.5 lakh for installation of street lights in the area.
