EC Works takes stock of dev activities in Sankoo sub-division

KARGIL, JUNE 12: Executive Councillor Works and Information, Aga Syed Abass Razvi, today chaired a meeting to review the progress on core developmental activities being undertaken by different departments in Sankoo sub-division of Kargil district.
Councillor Sankoo Aga Syed Ahmed Ravi, Councillor Parkachik Haji Ghulam Muhammad, Councillor Barsoo Sheikh Muhammad Ansari, Councillor Thasgam Abdul Rahim, Councillor Lankarchey Ghulam Haider, SDM Sankoo Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani besides other Sub Divisional Civil and Police officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the EC inquired about the progress achieved on the works been carried out during the year 2018-2019 as well different ongoing schemes in the sub division.
He also took stock of the proposed works and work plan of different departments for the current financial year.
While taking stock of the progress on the construction of motorable bridges on Kargil Zanskar National Highway, the EC instructed the Executive Engineer Suru Valley Division (SVD) Sankoo to complete them within the set timelines.
The EC also issued instructions to the SDM Sankoo to complete the revenue papers of the land compensation cases with regard to various roads at Thasgam, Hamri, Sangrah and other villages and submit the same to SVD Sankoo so that compensation cases are settled in a time bound manner.
The CEC exhorted upon officers to work with utmost dedication and commitment besides to give focused attention for completion of all ongoing developmental projects under execution in Sankoo sub-division.
He also gave on spot directions to the concerned officers to carry out minor macadamization works on Karchay Khar bridge and the approach road of Higher Secondary School Barsoo at the earliest.
The EC asked the officers concerned to complete the remaining works on the High Tech Lab at Higher Secondary School Sankoo. He also directed the Exen SVD Sankoo to carry out the necessary repairs of the roofing of CHC Sankoo.
