600 kanals of encroached land retrieved in Kulgam
Srinagar, Jun 9: About 600 kanals of encroached land was retrieved in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said on Sunday.
They said that an anti-encroachment drive was launched by a team of Revenue Officials on Saturday in village Chakpora Zangalopora in Kulgam.
''During the driver, 600 kanal of encroached land was retrieved,'' they added.
District Development Commissioner Kulgam Shamim Ahmad Wani has assured that the drive will continue in all areas of the district and all encroachments on the state as well as Kahcharai land will be removed. He also said strict action will be taken against the encroachers for indulging in unlawful activities.
