DDC Kishtwar inspects PHE installations

KISHTWAR, MAY 22: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Angrez Singh Rana today inspected key water installation and filtration plants here which supply’s water to the main town areas.
General Manager NHPC, Yoginder Kotha, XEN PHE, Sudesh Kotwal, Vice President Municipal Committee Kishtwar, Firdous Ahmed Mingnoo, AEE PWD, AEE PHE, JE besides concerned officials were present.
The DDC took stock of the functioning of the filtration plants having the capacity of 1,00000, 90,000 and 50,000 gallons per day with the reservoirs.
He issued directions to PHE functionaries to use cleaning agents like alum/ bleaching powder/chlorine in the plants after proper testing to supply clean water to the inhabitants.
It was informed by the XEN PHE that to meet the shortage of water in the town and in low lying area three lines are being laid from filtration plant to Bus Stand, filtration plant to Mailpeth, Filtration plant to Salamkaie, Bunastan.
