DDC Rajouri reviews proposed District capex Plan for the financial year 2019-20

Rajouri, April,25: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting of all sectoral and district officers to finalize the District Capex Budget for the current financial year 2019-20 here today.

While discussing the district plan of PWD, it was informed that the ceiling is kept at 2.70 crores and department have kept 237 projects including roads and bridges in the district similarly the PHE department has kept 89 schemes in the district including new and some old schemes.

While taking note of the education department, it was informed that under elementary education the ceiling was kept at 2.35 crores while in secondary education, the ceiling was kept at 69.53 lacs. It was informed that the department has projected works for infrastructure development, strengthening and upgradation.

Sericulture development officer said that as per ceiling the works projected in the district plan include repair and renovation of the main cocoon Hall at sunderbani and development of two mulberry farms, one at deing and other at lamberi.DDC advised the officer to develop the mulberry farms in convergence with MGNREGA.

DDC directed the concerned officers to keep a major focus on the projects which can be brought near to completion and outcomes are visible on the ground. He also advised for strictly following timeline in utilization of funds as per the instructions of the Finance department.

Besides, the proposals from departments including the Housing Board, Animal/ Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Hydraulic, PDD, soil conservation, social forestry, and other departments came under discussion.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning officer, SE PWD/PDD/PHE, chief education officer, Rajouri, EXN PHE/PDD/PWD district youth services and sports officer and other district and sectoral officer.
