India stands firmly with Sri Lanka: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Condemning the terror attack in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, BJP president Amit Shah said India stands firmly with the neighbouring nation in these trying times
'We strongly condemn such acts of terror. India stands firmly with our neighbour nation in these trying times,' he said in a statement here.
Mr Shah said he was deeply pained to learn about the horrific blasts and loss of precious lives in Sri Lanka.
Terrorism has become a curse for he whole world and almost all countries suffer from the threat, he said.
'India has been fighting terrorism for a long time. Now we are ready to finish it from its roots under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said.

'My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those affected,' he wrote.
The number of people killed in the serial blasts in Sri Lanka has risen to 185, the local media reported.
More than 500 injured people have been hospitalised in various hospitals, some of whom are in critical conditions.
The multiple explosions hit two Catholic churches here in the national capital Colombo in the morning, as worshipers had gathered in large numbers to attend the Easter services.
The country's government has held an emergency meeting on the incident.
