Pigeon with secret code found near IB

JAMMU: A pigeon with a secret code written on its tail has been recovered by intelligence agency near International Border at Arnia sector in Jammu, escalating the tension among security forces as the phased manner polling process for Lok Sabha elections continue in the state.

“Security forces are on high alert because the pigeon reportedly hailed from Pakistan. Another reason for sounding high alert was the incident happened during election season across the state,” a top Army official told The News Now.

He added that Pakistani pigeon has been caught by Sohan Lal son of Buta Ram resident of Devigarh sector Arnia near army camp.

“Panicked after watching the code on the tail of pigeon, the civilian handed over the pigeon to army officials,” he said.

He added that the intelligence agency is working hard to decode the message written in Urdu on the tail with number D345-4650397.

“It is too early to comment about message on the tail of pigeon. It may be something to disrupt election process or may be for other reasons. Let intelligence agency to decode the message then we will take appropriate action,” he added.

“Since Balakot airstrike, the Border Security Forces are already on alert and ready to tackle any situation,” he added.
