Hyderabad, Apr 18 (UNI) After losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets on Wednesday, Chennai Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming said that we had been exposed for the first time in the ongoing IPL season and it would be interesting to see how the side deal with it.
"This is the first time in a while we were exposed like that and will be interesting to see how the players respond," Fleming said at the post-match press conference.
"We will do the same practice as we have been doing. We will also work on those points where we can do better. We have to ensure that our preparations against Bangalore are better. We played eight and won seven and the ninth one we got to keep motivated. It doesn't matter how other teams are performing because every fight is difficult," he added.
While commenting on Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s exclusion, Fleming said, 'Dhoni was felling stiff after the game in Kolkata, hence a precautionary decision was taken and he was given rest in the match against Hyderabad so that he gets through the season in good shape.
After opting to bat first, CSK middle order couldn't do much in the game and a brilliant bowling performance by Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowlers restricted them on a score of 132/5.
While chasing a target, SRH riding on Jonny Bairstow (61 not out) and David Warner (50 runs off 25 balls) defeated CSK by Six wickets.
