Strike cripples life in Sopore, Hajin & Shopian
Srinagar, Mar 23: Life was crippled on Saturday in apple township of Sopore and Hajin Bandipora in north Kashmir and Shopian in the south, where eight militants were killed in four different encounters on Friday.
Local administration at Sopore and Hajin have ordered the closure of all educational institutions as a precautionary measure.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in these areas. Work in government offices was also affected. Educational institutions and tuition and coaching centers also remained closed.
Additional security forces and state police personnel have been deployed in these areas to prevent any law and order problem.
Two militants each were killed at Hajin, Shopian and Warpora Sopore and Kalantar Baramulla yesterday by security forces in four encounters.
