Mehbooba greets political rival Omar on birthday

Srinagar, Mar 10: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday greeted her political rival and National Conference (NC) Vice-President (VP) Omar Abdullah on his 49th birthday.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the former Chief Minister posted, ''Birthday greetings to @OmarAbdullah & hope the year ahead brings happiness & gratitude.''

In reply, Mr Abdullah, who is also a former Chief Minister of the state, tweeted ''Thank you very much @MehboobaMufti. Much appreciated. Hope the year ahead brings peace for our troubled state, that’s all one can wish for.''
Mr Abdullah, son of former Chief Minister and NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah, was born on this day in 1970.
