Amit Shah will visit Jammu on 24 February

Jammu, Feb 23: Amit Shah, the national president of the BJP will visit Jammu on 24 February his one day tour to J&k.

He will pay homage to martyrs in Shri G. J. “Tribute House” at 10:30 am in Bhagwati Nagar, near Fourth Bridge, exactly ten days after the Pulwama attack.

The BJP national president will give boost to party’s organizational activities in Jammu and will also address a big rally of around forty thousand ‘Panna Pramukhs’ this Sunday on February 24.

A ‘Panna Pramukh’ is incharge of one page of the voter list and is given the duty of motivating the voters of his particular page. Each page of the voter list has around sixty to sixty five voters.

The BJP national president will review the progress made under various organizational programmes launched by the party. He is also expected to give some new programmes and assign duties to the party functionaries to expand party’s base and connect maximum people with the party ahead of the 2019 Parliamentary elections.

Party sources informed that over 40,000 ‘Panna Pramukhs’ from two Parliamentary constituencies of Jammu region i.e Jammu-Poonch and Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituencies have been invited to attend the rally which will be addressed by BJP national president Amit Shah on February 24.

The rally will be held at Bhagwati Nagar near fourth Tawi Bridge. Sources said that apart from ‘Panna Pramukhs’, BJP state office bearers, former MLAs and former ministers of the party will also be attending the rally.

However, the commoners have been barred from the rally, BJP state general secretary Yudhvir Sethi said.

“Only ‘Panna Pramukhs’, party office bearers, former ministers and former MLAs will be allowed to enter the venue,” he said.

Prior to the rally, Amit Shah will pay tributes to the Pulwama CRPF martyrs. He will also listen to Prime Minister’s ‘Mann ki Baat’.

The main purpose of Amit Shah’s Jammu visit is to interact with party’s ‘Panna Pramukhs’ and give them ‘the mantra of motivating the voters’ on the day of polling.
