Shop, vehicle damaged in fire in Poonch's Mendhar
Jammu, Feb 23: A shop and a vehicle were damaged in a fire during wee hours on Saturday in Mendhar area of Poonch here.
"A shop and a vehicle was completely damaged in a fire that broke out at around 0300 hrs in Mendhar," Rahul Yadav, DC Poonch here said.
He said that both shop and the vehicle belonged to the members of different communities but there is no tension in the area.
"We are ascertaining the cause of fire," he said, adding that life in Mendhar is normal.
The internet service was not snapped, said the DC.
SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said, "whether the fire broke out of some short circuit or other reason, we are on job and finding it."
Situation is peaceful and there is no law and order problem, he added.
