Avoid WhatsApp driven fake news cycle: J&K police officer

Srinagar, Feb 15 : Rejecting reports about the attack on n a Police Post (PP) in south Kashmir district of Shopian, a senior police officer said that there was no such attack and the news was totally false.
A private national news channel “ Times Now” had on Thursday night said that militants attacked PP Keegan in Shopian.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter yesterday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Shopian, Sandeep Choudhary said, ''Kindly avoid WhatsApp driven fake news cycle @TimesNow like the attack on Keegan PP in Shopian. No such attack took place. @JmuKmrPolice @KashmirPolice.
The tweet of Mr Choudhary was re-tweeted on official Twitter account of J&K police.
