DC Ramban monitors road clearance operation, NH-44 partially restored

RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 12: National Highway is partially opened for vehicular Traffic and the stranded vehicles were allowed to move towards Kashmir valley.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat monitored the road clearance operation being executed by the construction agencies at Panthal, Maroge and other adjacent areas for reopening of NH-44.
SSP, Ramban, Anita Sharma, SSP Traffic, Sanjeev Khajuria, ADC Dr. Basharat Hussain, Dy. SP Traffic Suresh Sharma and various officers of civil and police administration supervised the road clearance operations at different landslide spots.
DDC directed the authorities and other executing agencies to keep adequate men and machinery ready to remove landslides from national highway to avoid traffic jamming and traffic breakdown besides ensuring traffic worthy road. He also asked the passengers to contact traffic control rooms before starting their journey on the highway.
