DDC Pulwama reviews status of MGNREGA works

PULWAMA, FEBRUARY 11: Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Mohammad Dar today reviewed the status of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) works under execution in the district, here at a meeting.
Assistant Commissioner Development Mir Munawar informed the meeting that out of 1480 works taken up during 2018-19 under MGNREGA around 892 have been completed so far, while as against the target of 1529000-person days 968612 were provided to the beneficiaries. He said among 47568 workers 40801 are Aadhar linked and 35022 workers have been verified. It was revealed that 45645 job cards have been issued in the district of which 34934 are active.
The DDC stressed upon the officers to expedite the pace of work on all under execution works in the district, especially in far-flung areas, so that all the projects can be completed within due course of time.
Besides Joint Director Planning, all the BDOs of the district were present in the meeting.
