DDC Ramban inspects snow, road clearance operation

RAMBAN, FEB, 10: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat Sunday visited various areas of Gool sub-division to review the snow clearance operation and stock position of essential commodities.
The DDC was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Ramban, Dr. Saif-Ud-Din Khan, Tehsildar Gool Mohammad Ashraf, SDPO Gool M R Giri and various other officer and officials. He took stock of snow and road clearance operations from Ramban to Gool besides reviewing restoration of electricity, water supply and availability of essential commodities.
He also interacted with the public at various places and heard their grievances, besides passing on spot directions for its redressal.
He said all the men and machinery have been put on high alert in the district and the road clearance operations were started to ensure all major link roads are cleared on war footing basis to make them through for the general public across the district.
The DDC directed the Tehsildars to access the damages caused by the heavy snowfall in last few weeks in their areas. He directed the officers to ensure round the clock monitoring of the situation to deal with any possible exigency and to keep their men and machinery ready besides maintaining vigil and close coordination in view of the current weather situation.
The DDC later visited Sub - District hospital Gool and took stock of the health services being provided to the patients there. During his inspection to various wards, he interacted with the patients and enquired about health facilities being provided to them. He directed concerned to make proper heating and bedding arrangements to the patients.
