EVM, VVPAT awareness programme held at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 06: In order to spread the electoral literacy among voters, a training-cum-awareness programme on EVM-VVPAT for media persons, civil society members and NGOs was organized under SVEEP at DC office Complex here today.
The programme was organized under the supervision of DEO Angrez Singh Rana.
While interacting with the participants, DEO asked them to get fully acquainted with the handling procedure and various aspects of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machine.
The Nodal Officer SVEEP, DPO Kishtwar informed the participants about SVEEP Programme, toll-free helpline number 1950 and www.nvsp.in website and appealed all the participants to popularize the same among the common masses.
Among others present were, ADC, Pawan Kumar Parihar, ACD, Anil Kumar Chandail, Tehsildar, Shokat Matoo, BDO, Arun Badyal, ALMTs and other concerned.
