Kashmir Not In Darkness When It Comes To Help Needy

Heartening to see young boys from Hatigam,Bijbehara coming to the rescue of this family at Hapat Nar In Kashmir: Mehboobha Mufti. Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir State in a post has appreciated some young boys of Kashmir for their act of kindness for the poor family on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
Aged and ailing Mozidin and his other family members were virtually starving in their dark one roomed muddy house in Charagpora village of Hapat Nar in Anantnag district. They were shivering, as they had no warm clothes to protect themselves from cold. The poor family condition had worsened from last five months after their son was arrested in connection with some case and is detained somewhere in Jammu region.
In order to lend a helping hand to the family, young boys namely Khalid Rashid, Mohammad Iqbal, Farooq Ahmad, Sabzar Ahmad from Hatigam village Bijbehara walked five kms on foot to reach the family as the road leading to the family was covered with snow. The boys had taken some money along but on seeing the family’s pitiable conditions, they realised that the money they had collected in their own circle was not enough to meet the needs of the family. So they decided to use social media to seek help for the family. They shared the heart-wrenching story on social networking sites, which went viral in no time, and the huge number of people came forward to help the needy family. In four days, the family’s account was credited with over 10 lakh rupees.
After Bank officials informed this group of youth about how the people have contributed to help the family, they again went to the village on Saturday to inform the family. In fresh video messages, the aged couple thanked the people for helping them and appealed them to help other such poor families. We now have everything including eatables bedding and clothes. Now that people have come to our hello we appeal to them to stop now and help other such families.
