DDC Pulwama reviews implementation of Mahila Shakti Kendra Scheme

PULWAMA, JANUARY 19: District Development Commissioner Ghulam Mohammad Dar today reviewed the implementation of Mahila Shakti Kendra Scheme in the District here at a meeting.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner/District Programme Officer ICDS, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Information Officer, District Social welfare Officer and other concerned officers.
During meeting, it was decided that the constituted committee will recruit requisite staff as per the guidelines for District Level Centre for Women, which will serve as a link between village and block level in facilitating women centric schemes .
On the occasion, the DDC said that the aim of scheme is to empower rural women through community participation which is envisaged to work at various levels, including National and State level. He said MSK Scheme will build upon by leveraging available resources of variety of schemes/programmes of the government at the district/block level.
