Bengaluru, Jan 19 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress-JDS Coalition Government Coordination Committee Chairman Siddaramaiah on Saturday welcomed the statement of Opposition Leader in the Legislative Assembly B S Yeddyurappa to the effect that BJP will not destabalise the Congress-JDS Coalition Government in the State.

In his tweeter, Mr Siddaramaiah said that "I well come the statement of Mr Yeddyurappa and hope he will follow what he has stated."

Mr Siddaramaiah also welcomed BJP State President's statement to the effect that all his party Legislators (BJP) will be returning to the City today and they will be deputed to visit drought prone districts to study the situation prevailing.

Congress Legislators who were rushed to Eagleton Resort and Wonderlaa, on the outskirts of the city, are spending one more day there as the leaders allegedly feared that BJP may continues its efforts to woo some of them by offering hefty money and Minister berth, even as BJP Legislators who were in Haryana and Delhi since last one week, have started arriving.

Mr Yeddyurappa, speaking to newsmen at his residence in Dollars Colony, underlined that his party will not initiate steps to destabalise this government but if it falls on its own his party is not responsible. "Already 4 Congress legislators have shown their grouse against their leaders by not attending the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting held yesterday. As a Opposition party we will indulge in constructive works let ruling coalition partners have no fear of destabalising the government."

Mr Yeddyurappa said that immediately after their arrival the party Legislators will be touring the drought affected districts and study the situation prevailing and problems faced by the villagers.

Addressing a press conference at Mangaluru, Union Minister and former Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda alleged that Mr Siddaramaiah is trying to pull down the present Coalition government. "He is behind the drama going on. Mr Siddaramaiah is obstructing Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and not allowing to perform. He is blaming BJP only to coverup his doings. If they cannot rule, let them step down", he added.

Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa, speaking to newsmen immediately after his arrival at the Airport, alleged "that Congress and JDS leaders are Child lifters and hence we had taken our Legislators to Resort at Haryana to protect them from poaching by ruling party leaders. There is coordination among Legislators of both the ruling parties and hence BJP was blamed for whatever negative things happens, including dissatisfaction over functioning of the government was expressed by disgruntled legislators."
