Czech Republic is key partner, President tells visiting Prime Minister

New Delhi, Jan 19 (UNI) India counts on the Czech Republic as a key partner in its growth story, President Ram Nath Kovind said here on Saturday.
Welcoming the visiting Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here, Mr Kovind said there are immense opportunities for Czech technology and manufacturing in India.
``Along with an economic partnership, defence is a key pillar of India-Czech bilateral relations,’’ he said.
The President expressed the hope that the two countries will move forward from a traditional buyer-seller relationship to one where we can co-develop and co-produce defence equipment.
Recalling his own visit to Prague last September, he appreciated the Czech government for hosting the ‘Czech Make in India’ pavilion at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gandhinagar.
