Rajouri police holds awareness programme on "Drugs Abuse" at Sialsui school.

Students were made aware about the menace of addiction of drugs and psychotropic substances.

An awareness programme on ill-effects of drugs abuse was organised by J&K police in collaboration with education department at government higher secondary school Sialsui here today.SHO Kalakote, Insp. Mushtaj Ahmed and other school officials were present in the programme which was attended by a large number of school students.

Students were made aware about the menace of addiction of drugs and psychotropic substances which not only takes toll on the life of individual but also of his family.They were appraised about different kinds of drugs and how the peddlers use various modus operandi to lure youth towards the addiction and also were motivated to act as ambassadors of voice against this menace.
They were also made aware about various provisions under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act under which stern action is taken against those involved in peddling of drugs.Students assured the police authorities as well as school authorities to play their role in keeping this menace away from their area.
