JAMMU: Gearing up its activities to secure all the six Lok Sabha seats of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the two seats in Jammu region and one in Ladakh, the BJP high command has decided to appoint "Vistaraks" for each of the 87 Assembly constituencies of the state.

The Vistaraks are the full time workers who will work right till the Lok Sabha elections and will gather all important information i.e problems, requirements, population ratio and other related information of each Assembly segment and pass on to the party high command.

Their work is very much similar to that of Sangh Pracharak, as they propagate the party’s programmes, achievements and ideology among the common masses.

The party has already assigned duties to fifty "Vistaraks", most of them in Jammu region.

"Very soon, by February, we will appoint Vistaraks for all the Assembly constituencies of the state," BJP incharge for the programme, Pawan Sharma told The News Now.

The Vistaraks will also prepare a report about implementation of various schemes on the ground launched by both central and state government and their drawbacks.

They will also meet the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes and get their views about the same-whether positive or negative.

Apart from this, the Vistaraks will also be assigned the duty of preparing a report card about the performance of the Member Parliament (MP) and the MLA, Pawan said.

The entire report will be sent to the party high command which will help the party in devising its strategy for the elections.

Meanwhile, the sources said that from February 12 to March 3, BJP will launch a mass contact programme in the state as per which it will depute around 300 to 400 workers in each constituency.
