Jammu Police registers FIR against fake FB account operator

Jammu, Jan 18: A FIR has been registered against a fake facebook account operator for uploading objectionable pictures of a lady doctor here on Friday.

"A written complaint stating that her 'objectionable' pictures have been uploaded on facebook and also on other social networking sites to defame her was lodged by her on Thursday," the police informed.

They said that the lady doctor is a resident of Shopian district, pursuing post graduation and presently staying at GMC (Government Medical College) Hostel in Jammu.

"On the basis of her complaint, a case has been registered under IT Act and investigation has been started," police said adding that the fake facebook account is under scanner and the operator will soon be arrested.
