Twenty one children to be conferred bravery award on R-Day

New Delhi, Jan 18: Twenty one children will receive the bravery award this year for displaying unprecedented courage and bravery ,saving lives by risking their own.
Eight girls and 13 boys will be conferred upon the National Bravery Award -2018 on the Republic Day this year, one award being given posthumously to a girl.
The names of the awardees this year are Gurmeet Hima Priya (09) and Soumyadeep Jaana (14) who have been selected for India Award. The prestigious Geeta Chopra award (posthumous) will be given to Nishita Negi (15) of Delhi. Similarly, Gujarat's Gohil Jayaraj Singh (07) will be conferred the Sanjay Chopra Award.

Six-year-old Anika Jaimini of Rajasthan, Camilia Keithi Khabranar of Meghalaya and 14-year-old Situ Malik of Odisha will be given the Bapu Gaidhani Award.

Other children who will receive the gallantry award include Jhili Bagh, Ranjita Maji and Viswajit Puhan , CD Krishna Nayak (Karnataka), Muskan and Seema (both from Himachal Pradesh), Ritik , Jangendra and Srikant (from Chhattisgarh) , Kunwar Divyansh Singh (Uttar Pradesh), Vahangbam Lamganba Singh (Manipur), Mandeep Kumar Pathak (Delhi) and Shigil K and Ashwin Sanjiv (both Kerala).

Medals, certificates and award money will be given to the children as part of the gallantry award.

These brave children will attend the Republic day parade on January 26.
