MVD organizes road safety awareness program

Samba : Motor Vehicle Department (NVD) Samba organized road safety awareness program in Kushan Public Higher Secondary School near District Court Complex Samba here today.
On the occasion, real life video clips about different road accident scenarios in Indian cities, presentations and symposium were presented. A large number of students of the said school along with teaching staff participated in this awareness camp. During the programme, ARTO Samba, Ramesh Kumar Samotra gave a detailed power point presentation showing statistical data about the road accidents in the country, state as well as district Samba and strongly urged upon the students to become torch bearers of the road safety drive and be best road users. Chairman of the Kushan Public Higher Secondary School Samba Varinder Slathia appreciated the drive launched by MVD Samba and expressed his concern about frequently occurring the fatal accidents in the state. It is the need of the hour to sensitize the young drivers about traffic rules and precautions to be taken while driving, he added. The programme was attended by Principal of the KP School Monika Slathia, MVI inspector Suriner Kumar students and teaching staff of the school.
