DC Kupwara reviews implementation of Housing for All - Urban Scheme
KUPWARA, JANUARY 16: Deputy Commissioner Khalid Jahangir today reviewed progress on the implementation of Housing for All Urban (HFA-U) in the district here at a meeting of the concerned officers.
JD Planning Kupwara, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, District Statistical Evaluation Officer, Deputy General Manager J&K Housing Board, Executive Officers Municipal Committee, District Lead Bank Manager besides other concerned officers and the representatives of different banks attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the DC inquired from the concerned officers about the present status of implementation of the housing scheme wherein it was given out that a total of 1818 houses under the said scheme have been approved in the district. It was further informed that 213 houses are under construction with 180 in Kupwara and 33 in Handwara towns respectively.
The meeting was also informed that the work on the construction of 378 houses approved for Langate town shall start from March 2019.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC exhorted upon the concerned agencies to work in a coordinated manner for the effective implementation of the scheme. He stressed for timely initiation of requisite formalities so that the benefits of the scheme are delivered to the beneficiaries in a time bound manner. He emphasized for proper identification of the beneficiaries so that no deserving is left out.
Moreover he directed the Tehsildars and other concerned to complete the required revenue formalities and the publication of beneficiaries list within 10 days.
