DEA Udhampur organises awareness camp for service voters

UDHAMPUR, JANUARY-23:- District Election Authority (DEA), Udhampur today organized an Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness camp to sensitize the service voters about their right to franchise and importance of participating in the election process.
The camp was held under the supervision of District Election Officer (DDC) Ravinder Kumar at two different venues viz Northern Command & Air Force Station Auditorium.
District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ravinder Kumar Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal besides other officers of civil Administration, Army and Air Force were also present.
Over 1000 personnel and officers of Army and Air Force participated in the camps.
Dy DEO, Sapna Kotwal informed the participants about the registration procedure through which they can cast their vote. She said that service voters have to fill part- 3 form which includes form- 2 for Armed Forces and form number -2 A for Armed Police Forces and form number -3 for Government Officials serving abroad.
The participants were also briefed by the Master Trainer, Mohammad Latief about the importance of vote and participation in election during the camp.
