Rogi Kalyan Samiti holds meeting at Jammu

JAMMU JANUARY 15: Rogi Kalyan Samiti held its 3rd meeting under the chairmanship of Medical Superintendent Dr. Chander Parkash, who is also vice chairman of Samiti, here today.
The Samiti discussed providing better health care services and improvement of infrastructure for the patients besides making available the emergency medicines round the clock.
A detailed discussion was held on the decisions taken during the last meeting and its execution and achievements. It was informed that the committees have been constituted to up grade hospitals to meet the national quality assurance standards. Besides, doctors and paramedical staff have been trained to identify the gaps as per the checklist and fill up those gaps to achieve the national quality assurance certificate.
The meeting also had deliberations on Ayushman Bharat -Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM- JAY) and it was informed that 1190 beneficiaries have been registered besides 1014 golden cards have been issued to the beneficiaries while 26 patients have been provided the benefit under PM-JAY.
The officials gave a detailed presentation about various works done from December 2017 to 2018 for the better care of the patients.
The Samiti also discussed requirements to be approved by the members for their execution from RKS, HDF Funds besides taking several vital decisions for better emergency care for the patients, equipment cleanliness and sanitation.
Samiti members also added their valuable opinion regarding further up gradation of health services in the hospitals.
Councilors, officials from PWD, PHE, Information and other members of Samiti attended the meeting.
