DDC Kishtwar chairs officers meet on Panchayats

KISHTWAR, JANUARY 14: District Development Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana today chaired a meeting with district officers to discuss preparation of a comprehensive plan for line Departments to ensure vibrant development of Panchayats at grass root levels.
DDC directed concerned officers to submit an action plan regarding their role and work in Panchayats at an earliest so that the same could be implemented at Panchayat level. He enjoined upon officers to nominate one employee of line department who will remain available and accessible to their respective Gram Sabhas and will be responsible for timely dissemination of information about various central and state sponsored schemes.
He asked all the officers/officials to work in cooperation and coordination with Sarpanches and Panches to achieve healthy development in respective panchayats as envisaged under Act.
He asked the concerned officers to identify/ allocate office space whereever necessary and make the office of Panchayat Halqa fully functional. He also directed ACD Kishtwar to ensure the opening of joint Panchayat account in all Panchayats of the district which is to be operated through the Sarpanch and Secretary Panchayat of Halqa Panchayat.
Among others present during the meeting were ADDC, Imam Din, CPO, Yasir L. A. Balwan, CMO besides concerned district officers.
