On May 19, 2018, PM Modi had visited Ladakh, Kashmir, and Jammu for inaugurating and laying foundation of various projects. Lok Sabha Member from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituency, MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh is set to accompany Gadkari and Modi during their visits.

The projects, for which PM Modi is likely to lay foundation stone are All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for Jammu and Awantipora, Jammu-Akhnoor-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway, Shahpur Kandi and Ujh projects, Sudh Mahadev-Pul Doda National Highway, Ladakh University, Devika Rejuvenation Plan, Indri Pattan-Pargwal bridge etc.

These projects, most of them with Central funding, can prove a gamechanger for BJP in the upcoming elections for Lok Sabha and State Assembly.
