Security forces conduct CASO in Bandipora
Srinagar, Jan 10: Security forces on Thursday conducted Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said.
Acting on a tip-off about the presence of militants, Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at village Khulhama, Bandipora this morning.
After sealing all exit points, security forces conducted house-to-house searches during which no contact was established with the militants, who might have fled away before the launch of CASO.
No one was arrested, they said, adding that later, security forces ended the operation.
