DDC inspects work on sports stadium Rajouri

Sets deadline for completion of Pavilion, allied works

RAJOURI, JANUARY 09: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today inspected the ongoing work on Sports Stadium, Rajouri being raised with an estimated cost of Rs. 1.52 crore.
The DDC directed the concerned agencies to accomplish the work within the set time frame and ensure that the quality is maintained. He also set 20th February as deadline for completion of the pavilion and allied works.
DDC inspected the indoor sports complex, main hall, changing rooms and directed the concerned agency to start the work on these within two days.
On the occasion, students and sportsmen met the DDC and demanded expansion of ground as the space for playing is not sufficient.
DDC directed the Youth Services Sports Officer and SE PWD to look into the matter and submit a DPR in this regard within weeks’ time.
“It is our endeavor to provide quality sports facilities in the district and we are making every effort in this regard,” maintained DDC while assuring every possible help to the budding sports talent of the district.
The DDC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Yoginder Katoch, SE PWD, Mohammad Parvez, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Swarn Singh, Assistant Executive Engineer PWD and officials from the sports council.
