Life returns to normal in Sopore

Baramulla, Jan 7: Life returned to normal on Monday in apple township of Sopore and adjoining areas in this north Kashmir district after remaining paralysed on Sunday on the 26th death anniversary of 53 civilians, who were allegedly killed in security force firing on this day in 1993.
Shops and business establishments reopened this morning and traffic was also plying normally. Work in government offices and banks was normal.
However, additional security forces remained deployed at sensitive places to prevent any law and order-disorder.

The train service which was suspended for security reasons between the summer capital, Srinagar and Baramulla in view of apprehensions of trouble on Sunday, resumed this morning.
