SRINAGAR: Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) on Saturday claimed to have carried out the attack on an Army camp in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday night, terming it as revenge for “Rajpura (Tral) militants”.

Militants had attacked Army’s 55-RR at Sumbal in Bandipora last night when a grenade was hurled by them that exploded outside the premises of the camp, but there was no loss of life of life or damage.

On Saturday, a JeM ‘spokesperson’ Muhammad Hassan in a statement issued to a Valley news agency said the army camp by them was attacked with grenades and intense firing.
