Rajouri: FOB organizes awareness camp on RTI Act

Rajouri : Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and broadcasting, Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri organised an awareness programme on Right to Information Act (RTI) here at ITI Sunderbani.
Officials and experts informed the participants that RTI Act has empowered the Indian citizens by giving them the right to access information and service they need from public offices.
District Incharge FOB, in his welcome address, enlightened the audience about the working and mandate of ROB saying that the motive behind organizing this programme was to create awareness among the general masses about the importance of the Act so that every citizen could be empowered to promote the transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority, reduce the gap between the information provider and the information seeker, enhance efficiency in the administration of public authorizes, mitigate corruption and promote good governance.
The registered troupes of ROB mesmerized the audience with their theme-based songs, Dramas and Dances.
Later, the students of ITI participated in an open Quiz on RTI Act.
