Deputy Commissioner inaugurates classes

KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 17: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, one of the premier educational institutes of the country, today started its functioning in the district with Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, inaugurating the classes in the Vidalaya, Shalimar Building.
Among others present were ACD, Anil Kumar Chandail, Principal JNV Kishtwar, Roshan Lal, Principal JNV Doda, Ravinder Kumar and other concerned officers besides staff members and students of JNV.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner congratulated the people of the district for getting one of the most prestigious and pioneer educational institutes of the Nation.He expressed hope that the institute will work hard towards providing quality and standard education to the students.
The DC exhorted upon the students to concentrate on their studies with all heart and devotion and optimally utilize this vital facility for a brighter future as the onus of laying foundation for a strong nation lies on their shoulders. He said that JNV with its highly qualified faculty and staff besides state of the arts infrastructure will emerge as hub of education in the district.
Deputy Commissioner appreciated the ACD and others for ensuring completion of school building in minimum time.
Principal JNV said that the faculty and management of JNV Kishtwar will leave no stone unturned to make it center of excellence for larger interest of the students.
Principal JNV Doda said that it is a matter of great honour for us that the students from JNV Doda have proved their mettle by achieving success in several competitive exams like IAS, KAS, NEET, IIT, NDA, AIIMS etc.
On the occasion, the students of JNV presented a cultural bonanza including dance, songs and yoga items.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the class rooms, hostel rooms, mess, library, class labs, boarding and lodging facilities besides heating facilities.
