New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) The government on Monday informed the Lok Sabha that as on December 12, more than 1.03 crore LPG consumers have voluntarily surrendered their LPG subsidy under ‘GiveItUp’ campaign.
"There is no proposal under consideration of the Government to revise or rationalise the subsidy rates of domestic LPG consumers in the country. The Government continues to modulate the effective price of Domestic LPG supplied to consumers," said Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
"Domestic LPG prices are revised every month in line with international price of LPG with corresponding revision in monthly LPG subsidy under PAHAL Scheme. Entire subsidy burden is borne by the Government," it was further informed.
