Gurdwara gutted in fire in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 16: A Gurdwara was gutted in a massive fire that broke out on Sunday in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.

Meanwhile, All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina, Sikh leaders Ajit Singh Mastana, Sant Singh, Niranjan Singh and Prof Deepak Singh Deepak have expressed concern over the incident and demanded early construction of the worship place.

Official sources told TNN that fire broke out in an ancient Sikh Gurdwara at Chittisinghpura in Anantnag on Sunday.
Fire tenders from different parts of the district, where rushed to douse off the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance.

However, before the fire was brought under control with the support of locals, the Gurdwara was completely damaged.
